OK, let me start by saying that I am a little biased. I’ve been a part time expat living in Aruba for part of the year for more than 15 years now. Besides being a warm and sunny desert island, it means a certain sense of home to me, personally. But, that said, I still think you should make Aruba your first vacation stop after the pandemic.

The majority of visitors come to the One Happy Island, as Aruba is touted, to enjoy the sun, sand and the clearest, most blue waters you’ve ever seen. But, what shocks many guests, is that Aruba has a robust set of offerings, across the spectrum of land, sea and air. Sure, you can have a cocktail with your feet in the white powder sand, and the azure horizon in your view. Everyone knows that. However, you can also rock climb, desert hike, skydive, dune sled, surf and horse back through some of the most open, breathtaking landscapes. You’ll find it hard to believe that so much beauty is contained in one tiny island.
